“Lemoû Bafou” Festival in Berlin
The famous Cameroonian festival “Lemoû Bafou” was celebrated in Berlin

The ICD’s House of Arts & Culture hosted the “Lemoû Bafou” festival which celebrates the rich and versatile culture of the Bafou People from Menoua, in the western region of Cameroon.
The Lemoû Bafou is a biennial festival of a cultural and economic nature, which aims to promote and enhance the rich Bafou cultural heritage. The festival has a decisive focus on the challenges facing the group in its socio-economic development.
On the 28th of June, Bafou music, dances, costumes, and traditional cuisine, transformed the gardens of the ICD house in Berlin into a major festival, so that all visitors could eexperience the festive spirit of Lemoû Bafou and the vibrant energy of Western Cameroon.
The event was organized by the Mendzong Bafou e.V which is a non-profit association of Bafou people living in Germany with the mission of preserving and promoting Cameroonian culture abroad.
Special guest for the event, Na'ah Temah Fo'o Ndong Victor Kana III (King of Bafou in the West Region of Cameroon) attended with a special delegation to celebrate the occasion.
Multiple Cameroonian communities in Germany gathered to honor the king’s visit and dive into the festivities of the Lemoû Bafou festival.
